Brainworms - VCU Cancer Charity Vinyls
ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO VCU MASSEY CANCER CANCER TO HONER THE MEMORY OF GENTLEMAN JAY MORTIZ AND ALL THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS WE HAVE LOST TO CANCER. FUCK CANCER!
Richmond, VA's Brainworms were a staple of Fest in the mid 2000s, and are a crucial part of Fest History. They had a huge influence on bringing the FLAVA (Florida/Virginia) crews together in their heyday and helped create tight bonds that to this day cannot be broken.
In 2016, we tragically lost the irreplaceable Gentleman Jay Mortiz (bass player) to melanoma. Instead of letting the bands remaining LPs collect dust, the band has decided to put them online--exclusively through The Fest store--and donate all proceeds to the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
For you Festers who never got the chance to see them or hear them, here is your chance to not only donate to a great cause, but also own and discover a piece of Fest history that became a huge influence to many people who are still involved with Fest today.
